We're now well into the shorter days of and heading into shortest of them all, the Winter Solstice later this month. The woods, whilst bare in December, seems full of holly, with their berries shining bright alongside the ivy, mosses and ferns. All the hibernating animals are asleep and the birds provide all the activity for us to hear in the quiet of the woods. Forest Bathing this month is the perfect antidote to consumerism, so join us then to soothe your senses - much needed at this time. These are gentle introductions to forest bathing including sensory and meditative exercises. We take time to explore our woodland landscape, tuning in to our micro and macro awareness of nature and noticing how it communicates with us. The session is 2.45 hours and will take place at the Surrey Wildlife Trust's private wildlife reserve Nower Wood. See here for details on the location https://www.surreywildlifetrust.org/nature-reserves/nower-wood-educational-nature-reserve
We'll meet in the car park 10-15 minutes before to begin promptly at 9.15am, finishing at 12pm.
